Welcome to the RI Breakers Girls Basketball Club!
Started in 1990 by a few dedicated volunteers,
the Breaker's basketball club was created to meet
the following goals:
To improve the basketball skills of those
student-athletes who were willing to show exceptional
dedication to the sport of basketball and have a desire to play at the collegiate level.
To promote sportsmanship and cooperative spirit among
the participants regardless of race, religion or
socioeconomic standing.
To enhance the cultural and educational
opportunities for the student-athlete through
travel outside the State of Rhode Island.
To promote education through basketball

Congratulations to Breaker Maggie Whelan.Maggie recently received the Boston Celtics "HEROES AMONG US AWARD" for her successful community service project HOLIDAY HOOPS FOR HOPE. The project collected clothing and food for refugee families from the Central African Republic living in Providence & Worcester

GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM. Heather was one of only 20 student athletes selected for this honor. Heather was also invited by USA Basketball to the pre-trial trials for the U18 basketball team at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado in June. They will select 14 athletes to represent the US in games over the summer.
