on being named the women’s basketball team’s MVP. Young played in 27 games, starting 26 of them. She averaged 12.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.6 apg and 0.6 spg. She scored in double figures in 16 games, including a season-high 19 points in a 58-44, win at Elms on Nov. 14. She pulled down a season-best eight rebounds in the 63-48 win at Roger Williams on Nov. 25 and dished out a season-best six assists in a 68-59 win at Western Connecticut on Feb. 13. Brooke was also chosen for the Little East All Academic team!

High School- Four sport athlete who was a four-year starter of the basketball team, ran track all four years, started one of two years for soccer, and started her only year of volleyball…reached 1,225 career points- leading the league in scoring for basketball…led team to first league title in 13 years and the state semi-finals as a junior and senior captain…earned multiple awards in basketball including: being named team captain junior and senior years, all-scholastic, three-time patriot leader all-scholastic and conference all-star, two-time conference MVP…three-time conference all-star for track…four-year honors student… Other: Played for the Rhode island Breakers as a shooting guard

Ainsley earned MWBCA All-State Second Team honors in her junior season with the Mules. She started all 24 games with the Mules, averaging 36.5 minutes, the most on the team. Burns finished the year fifth in NESCAC in points per game (14.7), as well as first on the team in steals (1.5) and third in defensive rebounds (4.6) per contest.

Former Breaker, and current Bard Freshman SG, Jess Rylander...

had an impressive freshman year, playing in all 25 games, averaging almost 35 minutes per game ... she averaged 8.9 points 5.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game ... Rylander got the league's attention on back-to-back days at RIT (23 points, 7 rebs., 3 steals) and Ithaca (23 points, 3 rebs., 3 assists, 3 steals) ... she scored in double figures seven times against conference foes, and was the Liberty League Rookie of the Week once ... finished 8th in conference play with 1.8 three-pointers made per game ... No. 3 in the league in minutes.

...picked up all-region recognition from D3Hoops.com as the sophomore point guard was named to the northeast fourth team, the organization announced Monday afternoon. DiCecco is the first-ever Suffolk women's basketball player to earn the accolade from D3Hoops.com in the program's history. She is one of four GNAC student-athletes to pick up the nod along with Saint Joseph's (Maine)'s Kelsie McNamara (first-team), Emmanuel's Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (second-team) and Rivier's Kaylee Kacavas (fourth-team). Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors. There were 716 players nominated natiowide. The ballot was made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region. The 2018-19 season marks the 18th year D3Hoops.com has named all-region teams. In just her second collegiate season, DiCecco led Suffolk as the floor general and in nearly every category, both offensively and defensively. The All-GNAC selection proved to be the conductor to Suffolk's success with a team-high 17.0 points and 4.5 assists per game. The Falmouth, Massachusetts, native played the passing lane and grabbed a squad-best 2.5 steals per game to spark a defensive unit which limited foes to 60.8 ppg. On the glass she grabbed 6.0 rpg, good for second on the squad. DiCecco's dynamic played anchored the Rams to their 24th consecutive conference tournament appearances and second straight ticket to the semifinals.
